Bot-In-a-Box Educational Robotics

Open-source robotics learning kits for all!
Bot-In-a-Box Educational Robotics is pushing the boundaries of open-source, 3D-printed robotics learnings kits for anyone, targeted at Ontario students in Grades 3-8. Right now, we offer a Linux-compatible robot car kit (Project Rover), a plethora of fun Arduino activities, a custom firmware for the Wanhao i3 3D Printer, among other things.

Bot-In-a-Box is all about taking real-world technologies like Linux, JavaScript, the Terminal, SSH, Python, and Ruby, and making them accessible to everybody by showing how they are used in real life. Through kits like Project Rover, Bot-In-a-Box’s goal is to demystify programming and robotics, showing students how abstract concepts like loops, statements, and variables can represent real-life objects and processes.

For more information, check out our website at botinabox.ca.

Bot-In-a-Box is owned by Matthew Piercey, who grew up in Elmvale and is currently studying towards a BBA at Trent University in Peterborough.
